「鍛冶屋」で日本の伝統工芸文化を体験しませんか。
デジタルネットワークを重視する現代社会では、鍛冶の「手業」や「勘」などのアナログ技術は日常生活からは程遠いものになりました。
高知県四万十川の湖畔、山と川の間にある「たたら製鉄 古式鍛造工房くろがね」では、日本古来から受け継がれている鍛冶体験をすることができます。
古来の鍛造技術による包丁作り
鋼鉄から火と特別な技術を使い、包丁、切出小刀、ペーパーナイフなどからお好きなものを製作します。
結婚記念や旅行の思い出、名前を彫刻することもできます。
ご主人の林さんは英語が話せるので、丁寧な英語による講義で、豊富な知識や洗練された技術を学ぶことができます。
四万十の自然景観
工房は四万十川中流域の真ん中にある口屋内村にあり、刃物作りの後は湖畔でゆったりとくつろぐことができます。
運が良ければ、シカ、イノシシ、サル、その他の野生動物にも会えるかもしれません。大自然の中、日本ならではの体験をお楽しみください。
